Face recognition test at Yamaman Yukarigaoka line

Face recognition gate is testing at Yamaman Yukarigaoka line since September 2021.

Machine for the test

There is one type of test machine. Camera and LCD is in the middle of the body, it's authenticate person's face and display its status. Under the LCD, scanner is installed that seems to be for reading QR code.

Placement style

There are two type of placement style. The one is existing machine(gate) is deactivated and used as a passenger's way. The other one is using a vacant space as an aisle. It seems to specialize in the autentication function, so traffic control by a door is not used.

Camera for monitoring ?

Monitoring camera is in the top of the body. It is Panasonic's WV-S4150 that has 5M pixel wide-angle rense. This model is also used in the machine for Osaka Metro's face recognition gate.
